With all the hype today about Windows 7, a lot of the focus is on the new features that are available in the new operating system, along with the performance updates. This is rightfully so, as Microsoft has done a good job with Windows 7 and it is light years ahead of Windows Vista as far as performance and stability are concerned.
The problem is that many people need to update their hardware drivers to make their computer work to its full potential with Windows 7. Upon installation of Windows 7, go to the Start Menu and search for Device Manager. Click on the Device Manager icon that comes up and this will bring up a window with a list of all your devices. Any icons that have a yellow exclamation mark on them here have driver issues. You can double-click on this icon and it will bring up another dialog box that has a button that says Update Driver. Click on this button and Windows will search for new drivers for your device. Unfortunately, Windows does not find all of these. If Windows doesn’t, run a free driver scan with Driver Reviver to get the latest driver updates for Windows 7.
We hope this helps, and as always please let us know if you have any issues.
