Today is a big day for anyone who follows the Windows ecosystem. Windows 10 is a much anticipated release of the world’s most used operating system and after a disappointing release of Windows 8 Microsoft needs this new version of Windows to take on like wild fire.
Two years ago we released Start Menu Reviver to appease a problem that was introduced along with the release of Windows 8, that was the removal of the Windows Start Menu. Start Menu Reviver rethought the Windows Start Menu. We didn’t want to just bring back the old Start Menu (there were plenty of people doing that already), we wanted to design a Start Menu for the future generation of devices. It needed to support touch, Modern Apps and all of the old functions that Windows users were used to having easy access to. We think we nailed it and received some great feedback from reviewers and users alike.
Now Windows 10 is bringing back the Windows Start Menu but not in the same way it existed in Windows 7. Microsoft has changed the Start Menu to support the many devices that will be using Windows 10 and to support both desktop and modern apps. It is kind of a smaller Start Screen with additional options.
So what if you still don’t like this Start Menu? We have great news! Start Menu Reviver 3 has been released today and it supports Windows 10. For those of you using Start Menu Reviver already you should be receiving an update notice, for those of you who would like to download Start Menu Reviver you can get it from www.reviversoft.com/start-menu-reviver/
As always we love to hear feedback about the product so keep it coming and we hope that everyone enjoys the great work Microsoft has done with Windows 10!
