BC Software My Notes Center

My Notes Center works like a virtual diary and daily planner with menu functions dedicated to protecting emails, names and phone numbers, passwords, and sensitive personal information, such as social security and credit card numbers. It encrypts data using the Blowfish448 algorithm to protect notes in MNC files. MNC is a special binary format that only My Notes Center can open and read. This personal data management software also works as a notes organizer for researchers and a writing tool with built-in spellchecker and translator. Its text editor has been updated with MS RichEdit 6.0 capabilities, and now translates character-based languages and mathematical text correctly in Unicode. Notebooks allow macros to insert recurring text, like the company name, or a numerical sequence, such as page numbers, into notes. Notes are displayed in a tree file structure that allows drag-and-drop function for copying and pasting of notes from one notebook to another.

a word of warning

Be careful not to rename the extension on .mnc files, or any other files. This will not change the file type. Only special conversion software can change a file from one file type to another.

what is a file extension?

A file extension is the set of three or four characters at the end of a filename; in this case, .mnc. File extensions tell you what type of file it is, and tell Windows what programs can open it. Windows often associates a default program to each file extension, so that when you double-click the file, the program launches automatically. When that program is no longer on your PC, you can sometimes get an error when you try to open the associated file.
