Developed by a team of programmers and project managers at ProjectWizards GmbH, Merlin set the standard for professional project management software. This Mac OS X software recognizes MPP, MPX, and XML files that were created in Microsoft Project releases from 1998 through 2007. In return, the program exports and writes Windows-compatible XML and MPX files for use with Microsoft Project. Other applications that Merlin imports data from include MindManager, NovaMind, and MS Excel.
