Hi guys, Mark here from ReviverSoft. Today, I’m going to teach you how to turn on or off Bluetooth in Windows 8. Now, it’s a little bit different than you were used to on Windows 7 or Windows Vista or Windows XP. Typically you would go down to this bottom task bar down here, and you’d see a Bluetooth icon, and you would just disable it down there, or you would use a switch on your laptop. There are still laptops being sold these days that have a dedicated Bluetooth switch or a wireless switch that turns off both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, but for those of you who don’t have a switch like that, I’ll show you how to turn it off using the Windows 8 settings.

What you need to do is to go to the top right or bottom right corner of your screen, or swipe out from the right-hand side with your finger if you have a touch screen, and then select “Settings.” Then select “Change PC settings,” and go to the wireless menu. In the wireless menu you will see a Wi-Fi option and a Bluetooth option to turn on or off either of these, or you can enable an airplane mode which turns both of these off, but that’s only really useful if you’re travelling. So, if you’d like to turn off Bluetooth, all you need to do is click on the switch, and Bluetooth has been turned off, or click it again and it’s turned back on again.

Now, some people have had problems where they do not have this option on their computer. Typically, this is a problem with outdated drivers, and if you look into the comments of this video below, you can link out to an article that explains how to fix this problem for your computer.

So, thanks for watching, and I’ll see you soon.
